Housing Offices

There are three Undergraduate Housing Offices, to assist residents with any questions or concerns they may have.  Please contact the Housing Office that is affiliated with your building.  

Complex 1: Tatham Hall, Vanier

Mail & Packages

Each resident will be provided with a mailbox and a mailbox key.  Mail should be addressed in the following format: Name, room number, Residence building, York University, 4700 Keele Street, Toronto, ON M3J 1P3

Students will be notified via email when a package has been delivered for them.  Package will be delivered to your respective Housing Services Office.  Please see above for office hours for each Housing Office.     

Keys & Key Cards

Students are required to sign a lock agreement that outlines the use and functionality of the electronic lock system.  Students cannot give or lend their keys/keycards to anyone, and students are responsible for reporting lost or stolen keys/keycards to their Housing Services Office immediately.

Important Dates

Moving In: will commence on Saturday, September 2, 2017 for new students or Sunday, September 3, 2017 for returning students.  Additional information will be circulated to all incoming residents in July/August.

Holiday Closure: All of the undergraduate residence buildings will be closed as of Friday, December 22, 2017 at noon and will re-open on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at 9:00am.  Students are required to make alternative living arrangements during the Holiday Closure, however, students with a permanent address outside of Ontario can apply to stay in residence.  Additional information will be circulated to all residents in November.

Moving Out: Students are required to move out of their residence room twenty four (24) hours after their final exam or final class if the student does not have any exams.  The last day to move out is Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at noon.  Additional information will be circulated to all residents in March.
